Fission

Lyrics & Interpretations

Fission is an Alternative Rock album about splitting open in multiple ways; emotionally, politically, spiritually, and intellectually.

Each song captures a different kind of rupture: trauma, hypocrisy, anxiety, betrayal, chaos, fear, and reality itself. But the album is not only about destruction. It is about what gets revealed when the pressure finally breaks.

antivenom

Slow

Fast

Forty lashes

Jagged past

The shiny Bunmei blade swings slow

Then fast through the afterglow

Forty lashes carve my skin

Old ghosts crawl back again

Memories stolen from my veins

Reality fractured by the pain

Uprooted from a steady grip

Now I taste the edge I slip

Black and white

Parallel shadows rise

Brass handle turning left

With venom in its eyes

I need the antivenum now

Before the darkness pulls me down

Snake wrapped tight around my throat

Still I breathe

Still I hope

I need the antivenum now

Before I fade beneath the ground

Filament burning through the storm

Somewhere inside

I’m reborn

Sexy escape in silhouette

Promises soaked in cigarette breath

Dripping fist and trembling hands

Nothing turns out like you planned

Wicked winds through empty rooms

Grey horizons spell the doom

Cancer seething underneath

Midnight shrill between my teeth

Still

The venomous serpent coils

Wrapped around the last resolve

Squeezing

Squeezing

Twisted dagger falling slow

Into the shallow dark below

But the filament remains

Still glowing through the rain

A flickering yellow light afar

Cuts through the wound inside the scar

I found the antivenum now

The poison doesn’t own me now

Snake uncoils from around my throat

I still breathe

I still hope

I found the antivenum now

No longer buried underground

Signal rising through the thorns

Out of the wreckage

I transform

The lone signal rises

Above the thorny groves

Still alive

Still alive

Antivenom began as an older poem about frustration, despair, trauma, and the feeling of being poisoned by memory, betrayal, and emotional collapse.

For Fission, it became a transformation song — not just about pain, but about surviving the venom and searching for the cure.

The song starts in darkness, with imagery of blades, shadows, shaken reality, and internal damage. But the purpose is not to stay there. The emotional arc moves from near-death despair toward survival, healing, and hope.

At its core, Antivenom is about the moment when suffering becomes too toxic to ignore. The “venom” is trauma, deception, fear, grief, and the slow poison of carrying pain for too long.

The song’s power comes from its transformation. It does not pretend healing is easy or clean. Instead, it recognizes that sometimes the cure has to be created from the very poison that almost destroyed you.

The antivenom is awareness. It is truth. It is choosing survival when part of you has already accepted defeat.

WATCHILLIEEEEEEE

Burden of Truth came from a raw, almost one-take emotional place of expression by Watch3. The original inspiration carried a Lenny Kravitz-style rock feel, but the spirit of the song grew into something heavier, more exposed, and more vocally intense — closer to a Chris Cornell-like cry of truth.

The song wrestles with love, deception, proof, loyalty, and the emotional cost of carrying truth when others would rather hide from it.

Burden of Truth is about the weight that comes when reality cannot be denied anymore. It questions empty promises — “don’t tell me you’d lie for me,” “don’t tell me you’d die for me” — because words mean nothing without truth behind them.

The phrase “burden of truth” flips the legal idea of “burden of proof.” This is not about proving something in court. It is about living with what you know in your bones. The blade imagery suggests that words can cut deeper than actions, especially when truth is twisted, avoided, or weaponized.

CHAOS

CHAOS

My design

Watchillie

Chaos began as a statement about online judgment, trolling, politics, and the way people condemn others from behind screens. The “thumb jury” represents people adjudicating reality with their phones — judging, attacking, and reducing complex human beings to disposable opinions.

Musically and lyrically, it has a more eclectic hip-hop-rock energy, reflecting the scattered, unstable nature of the subject.

Chaos is about a society addicted to reaction. People scroll, judge, divide, accuse, and justify their anger without ever slowing down enough to seek truth.

The song points at political tribalism, social media rage, and the collapse of nuance. The “thumb jury” is one of the strongest images because it captures modern judgment perfectly: fast, detached, self-righteous, and often cruel.

The chaos is not only external. It becomes internal too. When the world is constantly screaming, the mind starts screaming back.

Watchillie

Fuberg Bay is a metaphorical song about standing at the edge of fear and deciding whether to take the dive. This song shortens the name of the tall majestic waterfall called Furebergsfossen in  Norway.

It is about risk, rebirth, courage, and the moment when you realize staying frozen is its own kind of drowning.

The sound moved away from an anthem/choir feel into a tighter Audioslave-inspired rock direction — more groove, more muscle, and more emotional lift.

Fuberg Bay represents the edge between the old self and the possible self. The water is fear, uncertainty, cleansing, danger, and freedom all at once.

The repeated urgency — “hurry don’t wait” — gives the song its heartbeat. It is not reckless. It is a reminder that life does not wait forever for us to become brave.

The dive is the decision to live differently. To trust. To fall. To be remade.

Overwhelmed comes from personal experience with anxiety, suffocation, pressure, and the frustration of being told to “calm down” by people who do not understand what it feels like inside.

The song fits Fission through its raw emotional honesty. It is not polished emotional theater, it is the sound of someone trying to breathe while being crushed.

Overwhelmed is about the violence of internal pressure. The outside world may see someone functioning, but inside there is panic, control, identity loss, and exhaustion.

The “calm down” refrain is important because it captures how dismissive people can be toward anxiety. It turns suffering into an inconvenience. The song pushes back against that.

This is not weakness. It is survival under compression. The song gives a voice to the moment when the nervous system is screaming louder than words can explain.

Pecksniff is about hypocrisy — specifically someone who presents themselves as moral, benevolent, or righteous while acting in deceptive and self-serving ways. The title references the idea of an unctuous hypocrite: someone who performs virtue while hiding manipulation.

The hook “Drop the Hammer” became the central force of the song — a verbal reality check meant to shatter the false image.

Pecksniff is a confrontation song. It is not just anger for anger’s sake. It is anger sharpened into truth.

The song attacks false morality, deception, and the kind of person who hides behind polished language while causing real damage. “Drop the Hammer” is not physical — it is symbolic. It means: enough pretending. Enough spin.

Enough moral theater.

Quantum Matrix comes from the larger “Reality” concept — a hip-hop-rock exploration of quantum physics, perception, time, existence, and the conflict of seeing reality differently than most people.

For Fission, it fits as the intellectual and existential fracture point of the album: the place where the mind splits open and starts questioning the structure of everything.

Quantum Matrix is about what happens when knowledge becomes destabilizing. It is not just “science lyrics.” It is about the emotional consequence of understanding that reality, time, matter, and perception may be far stranger than everyday life suggests.

The song lives in the tension between intelligence and isolation. The narrator sees deeper patterns but feels trapped in a world that operates on surface-level assumptions.

In the context of Fission, this song is the mental split — the moment where consciousness itself becomes the explosion

The piece encourages listeners to view challenges not merely as obstacles but as opportunities to gain deeper understanding.

Spit Show began as a reaction to the growing culture of extremism, ideological tribalism, and the belief that one's own worldview is unquestionably right. The song is intentionally provocative, using satire, confrontation, and dark humor to highlight the dangers of fanaticism and blind allegiance.

The title itself operates on two levels. On the surface, it suggests a chaotic spectacle & a public display of outrage, division, and conflict. Beneath that is the realization that the spectacle has become a "shit show," where reason and empathy are often drowned out by slogans, anger, and ideological certainty.

Musically, the song was envisioned as a hard-driving rock track with the raw aggression and urgency of bands like Rage Against the Machine and Disturbed, while maintaining a focused studio sound rather than a live arena feel.

t its core, Spit Show is about the danger of certainty.

The song is not aimed at a single political group as much as it is aimed at the mindset that believes it possesses absolute truth while dismissing everyone else as inferior, ignorant, or unworthy. References to extremist ideologies, racial superiority, authoritarian thinking, and social regression are used to expose the destructive consequences of that mindset.

The repeated use of phrases like "This is not right" serves as a moral anchor throughout the song. It is not presented as a partisan statement. It is a statement against dehumanization itself.

The lyrics explore how fear and anger can be weaponized into movements that promise simple answers to complex problems. The attraction of those movements often comes from certainty. They offer identity, belonging, purpose, and enemies. The song challenges listeners to question those temptations.

The title's dual meaning becomes increasingly important as the song progresses. Society becomes a spectacle where outrage is entertainment, division is profitable, and conflict is amplified. The result is a culture that often rewards extremism while punishing nuance.

In the broader context of Fission, Spit Show represents political and social fracture. Where songs like Overwhelmed explore internal pressure and Chaos examines collective dysfunction, Spit Show focuses on ideological fragmentation—the moment when people stop seeing one another as human beings and begin seeing only tribes, labels, and enemies.

Ultimately, the song is less about politics and more about warning against the corrosive effects of extremism, regardless of where it appears. It asks a simple but uncomfortable question:

What happens when being "right" becomes more important than being human?

Blue Flame explores the invisible battle between emotional reaction and emotional discipline amidst intense conflict. Using the language of chemistry and combustion, the song compares anger to a fire that is constantly searching for oxygen. Every slight, misunderstanding, or perceived attack becomes another spark capable of feeding the flame.

The recurring line, "Inside this claim to fame... FIRE!", represents the moment when the ego feels threatened. The "claim to fame" symbolizes the identity we build around ourselves, our pride, reputation, beliefs, and our need to be understood. When those become challenged, the fire begins to burn.

Rather than glorifying anger, Blue Flame follows the difficult practice of containing it. The blue flame represents controlled energy: still incredibly powerful, but disciplined and directed instead of destructive. Throughout the song the narrator struggles to hold back, breathe, and resist impulsive reactions, ultimately choosing restraint over retaliation.

The song is a reminder that the greatest battles are often fought within ourselves, where victory isn't found by overpowering others—but by mastering our own fire.

Blue Flame is built around an extended metaphor of combustion chemistry. Sulfur, oxygen, vapors, acid, fire, flame, quenching, and chemical bases all become symbolic representations of emotional processes occurring beneath the surface of the human mind.

The opening verses describe emotions before ignition. The narrator exists in a state of internal pressure "unable to combust" where frustration accumulates but has not yet erupted. As oxygen feeds a flame, emotional triggers feed anger. Every perceived offense introduces more oxygen into an already unstable emotional reaction.

One of the song's central ideas is expressed through the lyric:

"Inside this claim to fame... FIRE!"

The "claim to fame" is not literal fame. It represents the ego...the identity we construct around ourselves. It includes our pride, self-image, expectations, personal narratives, and the need to be validated or understood. When that identity feels threatened, the ego instinctively reacts. The result is the internal fire that the song repeatedly returns to.

The bridge introduces the image of the blue flame. Scientifically, a blue flame burns hotter and more efficiently than an orange flame because combustion is more complete. Symbolically, this represents emotional maturity. The fire has not disappeared; it has become controlled. The narrator learns that strength is not the absence of anger, but the ability to direct it rather than be consumed by it.

This idea continues with lines like "Stay in the frame," where remaining "in the frame" symbolizes staying mentally grounded instead of allowing emotion to dictate behavior. The repeated commands "Hold, Stay, and Ignite" become competing internal voices. One urges restraint while another reflects the constant presence of emotional energy waiting to be released.

The closing section shifts from combustion to neutralization. The references to "the solution," "the base," and "the river of acid" draw directly from chemistry. In chemistry, a base neutralizes an acid. Likewise, emotional regulation becomes the psychological base that neutralizes corrosive reactions before they spread. The narrator doesn't extinguish emotion; instead, he transforms it through awareness, discipline, and deliberate choice.

Ultimately, Blue Flame argues that our fiercest conflicts are rarely with other people. They are fought against the ego that seeks validation, recognition, and control. Behind every emotional explosion is the decision of whether to feed the fire—or to quench it before it consumes everything around us.
