WATCH ]|[ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

]|[ is a representation of the number 3.

Because I am the 3rd I would regularly use ]|[ as a short signature

Because my name is Bennie Patridge III I am "the 3rd." My family on my father's side would call me "three."

That combined with "watch out" for something new that I am creating gave birth to WATCH3 (i.e.  WATCH ]|[ )

On my mother's side my grand-uncle had a phrase that was passed down generationally he would use to say in an enthusiastic and fun way "WATCHILLIE!"

Which was a way of saying "Watch This!" or "watch out now!"

It has been ingrained in my DNA ever since.

No I am not Egyptian by birth. By soul perhaps.  I have studied much of Ancient Egyptian history and I have a love, passion and respect for the advanced scientific, spiritual, medical, mathematical, and philosophical contributions the Egyptians gave to the world for thousands of years. I firmly believe which can be backed by evidence, the majority of what 'modern society' believes is 'fact' as obtained from "The Greeks" or other earlier philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians was either borrowed from many of the teachings from Egypt, or the answers were already obtained and we are yet to discover them.
I currently live in The United States in the state of Oregon in a city southwest of Portland called Beaverton

NO!!

I write the lyrics but currently the majority of the vocals and back-end music I synthesize using AI. I realize there is a communal area of contention with "AI Music," but my personal belief is, I spent decades as a poet, lyricist, and creative writer. I also have recorded and played music in many capacities. Due to life circumstances I rarely have been able to bring my 'visions' to life.

Because I work in IT and have for 35+years when I realized that I could bring my lyrical and poetic creations to life it was unbelievably exciting!

In my opinion, I liken my music to that of a creative vision of a dance choreographer.

With the assistance of AI,  I paint the picture via words, and describe in detail the sound, tempo, genre, rhythm, feel, and other intricacies that allow me to share my lyrical visions and create the music in the way I envisioned.
I guess that is arguable. By day I work in IT as a Data Storage Engineer. I have been in the IT and Data Storage Space for 35+ years. Currently I work at NVIDIA but you may also view my technical background at https://datastorageguy.com
Each album was specifically created as an experience. It was carefully created to be homogenous with the ability to listen from start-to-finish and each is specific to that music genre. I write all of the lyrics and it is my hope each album will paint a picture and express emotions based on that genre and theme.
