It is absolutely incredible!
It is WORTH THE $$!!
EVERY SINGLE liquid gold!
There is:
ZERO bitterness
ZERO tanins
ZERO after-taste
ZERO musty aroma after sip
ZERO 'strong alcohol' taste
For anyone who does not even 'like wine' I would emphatically recommend a glass of Tobin...
If I could afford it more often...

Some songs are written to honor people. Others commemorate places or moments in history. Masters of Astoria was written to celebrate craftsmanship.
For years, Fort George Brewery in Astoria, Oregon has been my favorite brewery in the Pacific Northwest. Long before writing this song, I spent years reviewing craft beer and even hosted a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing my passion for great breweries. Out of all the breweries I visited and reviewed, Fort George consistently stood at the top.
This song is my way of saying thank you.
Rather than creating a commercial or a traditional jingle, I wanted to write something that could actually be played inside the brewery, during an event, or while people are sharing pints with friends. The goal was to capture the energy, pride, and culture that make craft beer special.
Musically, Masters of Astoria blends old-school hip hop with hard rock influences inspired by Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. The song opens with whispered chants of "Hops..." that slowly build beneath a fingerpicked acoustic guitar before the band suddenly drops into silence. A single shouted "HOPS!" ignites the full band, creating the same anticipation and release as that first sip of an exceptional beer.
Lyrically, the song celebrates what makes great beer more than just a beverage. References to Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops, balanced ABV, chemistry, artistry, and precision brewing acknowledge the science and craftsmanship behind every glass. Brewing is presented as both technical discipline and creative expression.
The title, Masters of Astoria, reflects more than a brewery's location. It is a statement of respect. To me, Fort George has earned a reputation for consistently producing some of the finest craft beer in the Pacific Northwest. The chorus transforms that admiration into an anthem, with "Fort George!" becoming the rallying cry celebrating the people behind the beer.
Throughout the song are nods that longtime Fort George fans will immediately recognize. Vortex, City of Dreams, Magnanimous, Field of Greens, Suicide Squeeze, Short Sands Lager, Cavatica Stout, and Three Way are more than beer names. They are milestones in the brewery's history and memories shared by countless beer lovers who have gathered around a pint.
One of my favorite lines is:
> "Chemistry... with artistry."
Those four words capture what great brewing has always represented to me. Brewing is equal parts science and creativity. Precision and passion working together to create something memorable.
The bridge reinforces another idea I have always associated with the craft beer community:
> "Everyone that comes is family."
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime regular, the best breweries have a way of making people feel welcome. Great beer starts conversations, creates friendships, and builds community.
The ending of the song shifts into celebration, calling out some of Fort George's most iconic beers in rapid succession before finishing with one final declaration of the brewery's name. It is meant to feel like the closing moments of a live anthem, where everyone in the room is chanting together with a glass raised high.
Ultimately, Masters of Astoria is not about selling beer. It is about recognizing excellence. It is a tribute to the brewers, the staff, the loyal patrons, and the culture they have built over the years.
Sometimes the highest compliment you can give a company isn't a review.
Sometimes it's writing them an anthem.

Family
pFriem
It started with a dream
A passion for family
Pacific northwest
The gorge
Columbia river running free
They saw a need
A path to choose
A promise they would never lose
From the meeting of three
Came a vision to believe
Breaking molds
Changing minds
Creating something to stand through time
The family brewery
Called pFriem
Mmm
pFriem
They knew there had to be another way
To balance malt and hops each day
A taste that's never bitter
Delightful
Strong
And supreme
And that is why
They created
pFriem
pFriem
Home
Oooo
pFriem
Not just a brewery or a place
A place
A home
pFriem
A place
A home
A family that stays
Family
Always
On hearts
On hearts
On minds
On minds
With trust
Always
With love
She always gives enough
Because every sip of pFriem
Becomes
A part
Of me
Of me
pFriem
While others chase
Fame
And awards
Our roots remain
Deep in the gorge
Where mount hood waters
Feed the grains
Where every season
Brings a change
Every pint
A precious work of art
Because when pFriem hits the lips
That's where memories start
Memories

They knew there had to be another way
To balance malt and hops each day

"A Part of Me" was written as a tribute to pFriem Family Brewers, a brewery that has consistently impressed me with its craftsmanship, humility, and commitment to quality. While many breweries chase trends or produce endless varieties, pFriem has always stood out for taking the opposite approach: carefully crafting beers that are balanced, refined, and consistently exceptional.
Rather than writing a song about beer itself, I wanted to capture what keeps people coming back. For me, pFriem represents family, community, artistry, and the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge. The chorus, "Because every sip of Freem becomes a part of me," reflects how meaningful places and experiences become woven into our lives and memories.
This song is simply my way of saying thank you to a brewery that has become more than a place to enjoy a great beer. It has become a small but lasting part of my own story.

The True Story Behind STANK!
STANK! was inspired by a very real 3 a.m. disaster. Our dog came inside after being sprayed by a skunk, and within minutes the smell had taken over the dog, the rugs, the carpets, and the house. I tried the usual DIY remedy with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap, along with multiple shampoos and home hacks, but days later the smell was still there.
With very low expectations, I tried Scout's Honor Skunk Odor Eliminator. To my complete surprise, it removed the odor from the rugs and carpet so thoroughly that I got down on my hands and knees to smell them myself. I then used it on the dog, and the skunk smell was gone there too. The result was so unexpected that a rhythm immediately started forming in my head, followed by the hook: "That Scout's Honor had killed that stank." The song is playful, but every part of the story behind it is true.

Generations raised by alex t the great
Made intelligence cool, never fueled the hate
Dignity and wisdom every episode displayed
Made the nerd the hero every time he hit the stage
Educated gentleman, an example every day
Never talked down, always showed another way
Respect was automatic, never made you prove your worth
Every wrong answer, just another chance to learn
Patient with the players, never rushed the conversation
Always kept his cool with remarkable navigation
Failure wasn't failure, it was simply how you grow
Teaching every lesson while he quietly ran the show
King of jeopardy
King of jeopardy
Always in his lane, true class personified
Suit, shirt and tie, always dignified
Commanding was the voice, sharp wit was the blade
Knowledge was the masterpiece that alex always made
Smile across the podium when you'd hit that daily double
You could see the pride, never hoping that you'd stumble
Money was the object but the title was the prize
Questions built the champion, jeopardy made you wise

Three generations watching every category seen
Grandma loved the questions, yeah she never missed a show
Trying to beat alex to the answer was the goal
Knights of trivia battled, smartest of the smart
Every game another canvas where trebek created art
Time to paint
Time to paint
Always found a way to quote the wise before the fame
Planting seeds of curiosity with every single game
History and oddities, science, books and art
You'd better know your classics if you wanted a strong start
If you came to fake the funk you wouldn't make round three
History would humble you respectfully and clean
Intelligence the weapon and the stone that shaped the blade
He showed us every person earned exactly equal praise
Whether actor, dignitary, teacher, kid or fan
Everybody mattered simply 'cause you were human
Jeopardy was more than just another game to play
That's why the name trebek will live forever every day
Knowledge never ages
Wisdom never dies
Some men chase the spotlight
Some illuminate our lives
Not because he shouted
Not because he flexed
History remembers

Hello - Chadwick Boseman
a tribute to actor chadwick boseman
Oooooohhh.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
Oooooohhh.
We remember.
Shockwave when I enter, I speak grace over the land
Standing never demanding, still I offered out my hand
Kings and queens my kinfolk, elevation was the plan
I gave you truth
Wisdom
And stand
Styling never profiling, my presence would command
No posing, only purpose, sacred Ankh within my hand
Pressure made me diamond, I crushed stone back into sand
To fear I rebuke
To lies
I stand
Can you feel me?
Oooooohhh.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
(Chadwick Boseman y'all)
Can you hear me?
Oooooohhh.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
Exacting and precise, my blade was sharp, I never missed
Jealousy and envy, weak weapons trying to dismiss
Intensity meant nothing, even resting I resist
Disciplined
Brilliant
Never switched
With wisdom I was humble, still had fire behind my eyes
Every role I carried showed the sun was bound to rise
Transparent in my living, no disguise inside my stride
Your mind
I lift
I guide
Can you feel me?
Oooooohhh.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
This day.
We pray.
Stay. with me.
This day.
We pray.
Stay. with me.
I came into this world to share a purpose that was deep
Benevolent and eloquent, gave people strength to keep
I carried pain in silence while the world was fast asleep
Still I rose
Still I taught
Still I reached
The price was never fame to me, the mission was the flame
To honor every ancestor and magnify the name
If one child walks with pride because they heard me, that's the gain
My life
My gift
My aim
Can you feel me?
Oooooohhh.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
(Black Panther forever)
Don't be sad, don't be mad that I cannot hold your hand
I left you tools and blueprints if you follow through the plan
Let ancestors surround you and provide what you demand
Walk with pride
Soul steps
Stand
Time has never bound me, I breathe courage in your ear
So you live loud in your truth and never operate in fear
Eternal, immortal, in the shadows I am near
My gift to you
Was love
I'm here
Oooooohhh.
This day.
We pray.
Stay. with me.
Oooooohhh.
You will see.
It's me.
Still leading.
Soon you'll be.
High and free.
Still breathing.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
Hello. hello. hello. hello.
Hello was inspired by the life and legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman.
Rather than focusing solely on his accomplishments, the song reflects on the strength, dignity, and grace he displayed while privately battling illness.
His ability to continue creating meaningful work while carrying unseen burdens became the foundation of this song.
The piece serves as a reminder that we rarely know what battles others are fighting beneath the surface.

Elevate - Bessie Coleman
a tribute to female pilot bessie coleman
Watchillie
They told her stay low
Keep your feet on ground
Dreams like yours
Don't make a sound
Brown skin child
Cold hard land
But the stars kept calling
Take my hand
No runway waiting
No open gate
So she crossed that ocean
To challenge fate
France in sunrise
Hope in her chest
The sky saw Bessie
And gave her its best
No refuse
I fly
No chains
I rise
No ceiling
Above me now
Only endless skies
Fly Queen Bess fly
Lift every child denied
Rise Queen Bess rise
Write your name across the sky
She first
She flies
She first
She flies
Leather cap shining
Goggles in hand
Crowds stood frozen
Could not understand
Jenny roaring
Across the fairground air
Silver Nieuport dancing
Like freedom wasn't rare
Deep turns
Steep dives
Looping through pain
Every barrel roll
Broke another chain
No refuse
I fly
No hate
I rise
No limits
Hold me now
Only open skies
Fly Queen Bess fly
Lift every child denied
Rise Queen Bess rise
Write your name across the sky
If they close the gates
Build wings
If they hide the road
Sing
If they say not you
Climb
If they steal your light
Shine
Shine
Can I fly too?
Fly Queen Bess fly
Fly Queen Bess fly
Now the whole world knows your name
Rise Queen Bess rise
Nothing ever stays the same
She first
She flies
She first

Elevate was written as a tribute to pioneering aviator Bessie Coleman, the first African American and Native American woman to earn an international pilot's license.
Her story embodies courage, determination, and the refusal to accept limitations imposed by society. Faced with barriers because of both race and gender, Coleman pursued her dream by traveling abroad when opportunities in the United States were denied to her.
Throughout the song there are references to her Nieuport bi-plane as well as many of the maneuvers she pioneered.
The song celebrates not only her accomplishments but also the mindset required to rise above adversity and pursue a vision others may not understand.

Back in the day when I was a teen-ager
Used to go shopping with my sky pager
Me and my homies clockin beats
Where it's always goin down
Try'na impress all the cuties with that boom bap sound
Rollin through the doors with a pad of cash
An aiwa or sony, denon beats that last
Hit hard
Hit smooth
Them beats be clean
Crank the equalizer till that punch be mean
This is what I want
That's the one right there
Gonna buy it
Gonna woo the dips with the curly hair

Where the speakers clap

Where the bass go boom

Get your funky beats at c city
Get your funky beats at c city
So much more than a store
Was the place that's lookin out
The spot for gettin speakers when ya wanna push clout
Make that 808 boom
Make those high notes sing
Betta test it out before ya buy it
Make sure sound clean

M-90 was the top
M-70 was its cousin
And both rocked the block
Listen start to finish
Cassette real-to-reel
Put it on your shoulder
So you'd catch the feel
That bass boom
Highs hit
Kicks make chest bone thump
Makin honey dips with the curlies wanna shake they rump
At the corner
On the street
Where they heard the sounds
My jvc m-90 always brought the crowds

If the beat hit hard then you know I had to move
Eric b was pumpin
Fresh prince got spins
Beastie boys kickin while I checked the bins
Standin there for hours
Tryna make my choice
Cause every tape was talkin with a different voice
One more sample
One more track
One more groove
Then I'd carry that cassette home and let the whole block move
Boom bap

Ta-boom bap
Dual cassettes and dolby make your whole crew clap
Boom bap

Clean tweeters that are neater so you hear me spit facts

C city was the place where the fresh beats sat
Way back in the day I'm glad no memories fade
Of a time we kicked rhymes and the beats that we made
And listened to on jvc while we rocked the box
Chillin on the corner with the boys from the blocks
The 80s wasn't perfect but we paid the bills
Made bonds with bros for life as we rocked the beats and chilled
Cause the place we rose above
Was the place we thinkin of
Was the place that showed us love and proof to see
That the beats and rhymes were kickin
With more flavor than mama's chicken
When we chilled and hung out at c city

There was a time when visiting Circuit City wasn't just shopping. It was an event.
For many of us, it was where we first heard surround sound systems, played with new computers, watched giant televisions, or dreamed about the technology we'd someday own. Walking through those automatic doors felt like stepping into the future.
"Circuit City" was written as a tribute to that feeling.
The song isn't about corporate history or business success. It's about the excitement, curiosity, and optimism that technology inspired during an era when discovering something new often meant visiting a store and experiencing it for yourself.
As part of the WATCH ]|[ Tributes collection, this song celebrates a brand that helped shape the memories of an entire generation.

stanK
A tribute to skouts honor skunk ordor eliminator
Stank
After work
Spend time fam
Nothin' glam
Seemed like
Another day
Three am
Dog came in
Smelled like sin
Looks like he caught a spray
Was a skunk
A slam dunk
What are we gonna do
Opened up
Pressed my luck
Began bathing again
Truth be told
Look, behold
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Disbelief
Cannot be
Something this simple could
Quench that rank
Stop that stank
I'm sayin'
No way
Diy
Home hacks tried
Products vied
Feelin' my life's a joke
Lost all hope
End of rope
Until scout's honor killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Not just the dog
Stanky fog
Consumed
Entire
House
Cannot breathe
No relief
The carpets
Rugs
And couch
Blow it up
Given up
I'm thinkin' time to move
Then that time
Dropped that dime
One last shot
And scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stopped that skunk
Stopped that skunk
No more funk
No more funk
Our home
It's given back
No more smell
All is well
And we don't have to move
Thankful now
My new vow
On the offensive now
Should that skunk
Show its tail
I got scout's honor to stop that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
Stank
That scout's honor had killed that

A tribute to the smithsonian air and space museum
All my life
I've wanted to fly
Float into the sunset
Taste sapphire skies
Feel the warmth
Of the sun on my face
Split clouds
Moving faster
Play catch the sunset
Race
My
Father told me
Boy you gotta learn
Ed-ucate yourself
Nothing's given
In life
It's all
Earned
These fond memories
Wrapped with love
Pride
And grace
The awe
The majesty
Of this
Life
Changing place
It's here I learn to see
Appreciate facts
And history
The wings
The honors earned
A thirst insatiable
Compulsion to learn

Where I learned to
Touch the sky
Smithsonian
Where my mind learned to fly
Smithsonian
Where dreams are within
Arms
Reach
Smithsonian
Where those who learn
Grow to teach
Disbelief
The size
The scope,
All those who came before
No matter color
Race
Or gender
There's one
For all
Humbling experience
To read the struggles
The pride
The obstacles
They cleared
Justto fly
It's where I learn to see
Appreciate facts
And history
The wings
The honors earned
A thirst insatiable
Compulsion to learn

Where I learned to
Touch the sky

Learned to fly

"Smithsonian” is a personal tribute to the National Air and Space Museum and to the lasting effect that aviation history can have on a young imagination.
The song begins with a childhood dream of flight and the memory of a father teaching his son that knowledge, discipline, and opportunity must be pursued. From there, it grows into a celebration of the museum as more than a collection of aircraft and artifacts. It becomes a place where history feels immediate, where achievement is understood through the struggles behind it, and where curiosity can become a lifelong calling.
The lyrics move through the museum as if walking from one story to the next. The Spirit of St. Louis, Apollo, Concorde, Blackbird, Explorer II, Sally Ride, the Tuskegee Airmen, Bessie Coleman, Charles Lindbergh’s Sirius, and Art Scholl each represent a different form of courage, ingenuity, persistence, and imagination. Together, they show that the history of flight is not one story, but many, shaped by people who challenged limits and expanded what others believed was possible.
At the center of the song is a simple idea:
Where those who learn
Grow to teach.
That line reflects what the museum has meant to me personally. It is a place where wonder becomes knowledge, where knowledge becomes respect, and where one generation can inspire the next.
Musically, “Smithsonian” was created as a warm, easy-moving neo-soul groove with a relaxed, head-nodding rhythm. The goal was not to make the song feel grand or ceremonial, but welcoming, joyful, and human. It was designed to feel natural in an exhibit, an educational program, a museum event, or simply in the headphones of someone discovering these stories for the first time.
“Smithsonian” is ultimately a thank-you.
A thank-you to the people who preserve these histories.
A thank-you to those who teach them.
And a thank-you to the place that helped a child believe that the sky was not the limit, but the beginning.

Some songs are written because they're requested. Others are written because you genuinely love something. Little Big Burger falls into the second category.
As a longtime customer, I've always appreciated that Little Big Burger doesn't try to impress with size. Their burgers look simple, almost like sliders, but one bite tells a completely different story. They're compact, hand-pressed, packed with flavor, and proof that quality beats quantity.
The entire song is built around that idea: don't judge the burger by its size, judge it by the bite. The lyrics celebrate the fresh ingredients, friendly atmosphere, truffle fries, and the experience of walking in knowing you're about to have a consistently great meal.
Musically, I wanted the song to feel like the restaurant itself: upbeat, fun, welcoming, and impossible not to move to. It's meant to sound like something you'd hear playing in the restaurant while people laugh, eat, and enjoy themselves.
Like my other tribute songs, this wasn't created as an advertisement. It was written as a genuine thank-you to a local business that has consistently delivered an experience worth celebrating.
